RAIPUR: Two teachers at Dharasiv Government High School in Bilaigarh development block of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district were caught on camera fighting inside a classroom, sparking outrage and calls for disciplinary action. The incident took place on September 10 in front of students. District Education Officer (DEO) J R Daharia told TOI that the fight broke out in a middle school classroom on the premises. Teacher Vineet Dubey arrived late, during which time another teacher, Manoj Kashyap, was teaching Class 8 students. On entering, Dubey objected, arguing that it was his class period, which soon escalated into a heated argument and then a physical brawl. “I have submitted a report to the joint director of the school education department. Teacher Vineet Dubey has been suspended, while Manoj Kashyap has been served a show-cause notice,” Daharia said. The classroom reportedly turned into a fighting ring, with the two teachers exchanging kicks and punches, forcing frightened students to run out. The entire incident was captured on the school’s CCTV cameras, and the video has since gone viral, raising serious questions about the teachers’ conduct and its impact on students.
