Stabbed in neck by bf, woman survives, dials help

Raipur: A woman in Chhattisgarh's Korba district managed to make a video call to emergency services and share her location, despite being stabbed in the neck after her boyfriend attacked her with a knife on Tuesday night in Chhattisgarh's Korba district. The man died after he stabbed himself after attacking the woman, who is in a serious condition.The incident was reported from Chhattisgarh's Korba district on Tuesday late night.The woman, identified as Nisha, survived the murderous attack and was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. She is currently under treatment.The preliminary probe suggested that the couple got into a quarrel, which soon escalated to a point where the man, identified as 28-year-old Shubham, stabbed her in the neck leaving her grievously injured. Even as his girlfriend lay injured, the man slit his own throat with the same knife. Despite the grave nature of her injury, the woman managed to place a video call to emergency services, seeking immediate assistance and sending her location details. She also narrated the incident to her family over a separate call.A 112 response team reached the spot and rushed both to the district medical college hospital. Doctors declared Shubham dead on arrival, while Nisha was administered emergency first aid before being referred to a hospital in Bilaspur due to her critical condition.The investigating officers seized the mobile phones of the couple from the scene and were examining call records and messages to reconstruct the sequence of events. The man's family was informed of his death and were on their way to Korba.
