Faridabad woman checks in at Noida's hotel with lover, found dead after spat
NOIDA: A woman allegedly died by suicide in a hotel room in Sector 19 on Tuesday. Police said she had checked into the hotel with her lover, who was detained for questioning. The woman, Komal (20), was a resident of Faridabad’s Sector 20 and was seeing Sumit for some time. Sumit told cops that the two had an argument after which Komal was distressed. He claimed he was in the bathroom when Komal killed herself. When he came out and found her unresponsive, he immediately informed the hotel staff, who alerted the cops.

Sumit told cops the two had an argument after which Komal appeared distressed. He claimed he had gone to the bathroom when Komal killed herself.While no note was found from the scene, police have begun a probe. Police said Sumit is already married. In a separate incident, a man died under suspicious circumstances at a de-addiction centre in Sector 70 where he was admitted 7 months ago. Raja was a resident of Kherli Hafizpur village in Dankaur. On Tuesday, Raja’s health reportedly deteriorated after which he was rushed to the district hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival. An officer of the Noida Phase-III police station said a post-mortem is being conducted and further action will be taken if the deceased’s kin file a complaint based on the findings.
