GHAZIABAD: Three minor sisters living on the 9th floor of Tower B-1 in Bharat City Society, under Tila Mod police limits, died after jumping from a window. The deceased were identified as Nishika (16), Prachi (14), and Pakhi (12). According to police, all three had not attended school since the Covid-19 pandemic. The eldest sister was reportedly a Class 4 student.

The incident is under investigation, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Police suspect a case of suicide.Atul Kumar Singh, ACP of Shalimar Garden, said the incident occurred around 2am. He added that the window of the room, which had a temple, was left open. The sisters reportedly climbed onto a chair and jumped one by one.The incident caused panic in the society. Police arrived after receiving information and took the sisters to the Joint Hospital in Loni, where doctors declared them dead.A source said that the sisters were reportedly addicted to a Korean task-based gaming app. Some handwritten papers were also found at the spot, which are currently under investigation.
