AIIMS Raipur, IIT Indore join hands to drive AI in healthcare

Raipur: AIIMS Raipur established an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lab and Deployment Centre to integrate advanced technology into medical services. The facility was inaugurated during the ‘AI in Healthcare Conclave' held here on Saturday, featuring experts from medicine, technology, and research. The lab operates under SRIJAN, the bio-innovation wing of AIIMS Raipur, in collaboration with the IIT Indore DRISHTI CPS Foundation. This centre aims to develop AI-driven tools for diagnostics, healthcare management, and predictive analytics. During the conclave, faculty members from both institutions presented joint projects.Director of IIT Indore, Prof Suhas S Joshi, reviewed the projects and provided technical feedback. He stated that IIT Indore will provide the necessary technical support and collaboration to ensure these innovations result in practical healthcare solutions. In his keynote address on ‘AI in Digital Healthcare', Prof Joshi explained how partnerships between medical and technical institutes can improve healthcare accessibility.
