A top Iranian security official on Sunday issued a dramatic claim amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East that a network linked to the late convicted sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein is planning a large‑scale terrorist incident reminiscent of the 9/11 attacks in 2001 and will attempt to blame the responsibility on Iran.Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s supreme national security council, wrote in a post on X that he has “heard that the remaining members of Epstein’s network have devised a conspiracy to create an incident similar to 9/11 and blame Iran for it.”
Larijani added that Iran fundamentally opposes such terrorist schemes and “has no war with the American people.”
