Woman falls from 8th floor, dies

Pune: A 35-year-old woman died after falling from the eighth floor of her residential building in Talegaon MIDC area on Saturday afternoon.Senior inspector Santosh Patil of the Talegaon MIDC police said, "Prima facie, it seemed a case of suicide. We have registered a case of accidental death. Our investigations are on."He said the incident happened around 1.30pm at a housing society at Katvi village in Maval taluka. The incident's video has started circulating on many social media platforms. "The woman was seen hanging to the railings of the eighth-floor balcony for some time. Before the people in the balcony could save her, she lost her grip and fell down," he said.The officer said the woman was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead by the doctors.
