Water supply to 719 villages begins

PUNE: The Pune division of the stategovernment has employed 663 tankers to carry potable water to 719drought-affected villages. These include 172 tankers in Pune district, 203 inSangli, and 115 in Solapur.Nearly 16.33 lakh people are reelingunder an acute water crisis for the past three months now.World BookDay: The United Nations Educational and Scientific Cultural Organisation hasdeclared April 23 as “World Book Day�.
