Jal Shakti MoS Chaudhary speaks about leadership, impact with PIBM students
PUNE: Union minister of state for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary recently told students pursuing MBA and PGDM at the Pune Institute of Business Management (PIBM) that leadership is about creating impact and serving the society and not just building successful individual careers.
He was speaking during a special session on leadership, governance and nation building. He emphasised ethical leadership and responsible decision making in governance and corporate sectors.
He said, "Leadership is not just about achieving personal success, but creating meaningful impact in the society. Young managers must understand the responsibility that comes with knowledge and opportunity. India's progress depends on professionals who combine innovation with integrity and work with a spirit of service."
Choudhary, who is associated with key national initiatives related to water conservation and sustainable resource management under the Jal Shakti ministry, encouraged students to think beyond conventional career paths and contribute to public welfare through innovation and social responsibility.
The session included a question and answer interaction where students discussed governance challenges, sustainability and the role of management professionals in public policy implementation.
Founder chairman and executive director of the PIBM Group of Institutes Raman Preet said the interaction created a valuable learning opportunity for students. "It was an enriching experience for our MBA and PGDM students to directly engage with a Union minister and understand governance from a practical perspective. Such interactions bridge the gap between academic learning and real world leadership," he said.
