PUNE: Eight people were injured and cash and ornaments worth more than Rs 1.72 lakh were stolen in separate dacoities at Indapur and Talegaon on Tuesday.
In the first incident, six dacoits struck at the house of Dilip Taware (40) in Varkute Khurd in Indapur around 2.45 am. They beat Dilip (40), his mother Chabubai (70) and relative Sandeep Taware (40).

The Taware family, however, resisted the dacoits and nabbed one of them and handed him over to the police. The five others decamped with the valuables.
In the second incident, six dacoits attacked security guards of a private firm in Urse village in Talegaon-Dabhade.
The injured include Tulsiram Mishra, Hiralal Mishra, Brijesh Mishra, Ajit Vishwakarma and Mukesh Mishra. Sandeep Patil, the company official, has registered a complaint with the Talegaon Dabhade police station. No arrests have been made so far.
