Pondicherry University professor appointed advisor at National Civil Service College in Mauritius

PUDUCHERRY: Pondicherry University professor (politics & international studies) N K Kumaresan Raja has been appointed as an advisor at the National Civil Service College, Mauritius, under the aegis of the Indian high commission in that country.

The Union govt, under its development partnership programme, has built and donated a new building at Reduit, Port Louis in Mauritius, worth US$4.7 million. The facility has now reached its operational condition, and the Union external affairs ministry has identified Kumaresan Raja to be its first advisor.

Raja has already had a stint in India’s premier Civil Service Training Institute, LBS National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, upon invitation and also served as the founding deputy dean at the diplomatic academy of India, Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service, New Delhi.

Earlier, he advised the South Eastern University Sri Lanka on governance and international relations. He has been actively engaged with the universities in Vietnam, Germany and Poland.
