UPSC clarifies rank 301 holder is from Ghazipur, not Ara
Gaya: Rubbishing the claim of former dreaded don Brahmeshwar Mukhiya’s grand daughter Akansha Singh that she cracked the UPSC exam 2025 and got the 301st rank, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), through a release has clarified that the real Akansha Singh who got the UPSC rank was the resident of Ghazipur (UP).The PIB released the information on Monday.

The PIB release said, “It is clarified that as per the records of the commission, the details of the successful candidate who has secured rank 301 in the final result of the Civil Services Examination (Mains), 2025 are as under”.Name, Ms Akanksha Singh (rank 301, roll no. 0856794), father’s name Ranjit Singh, mother’s name Neelam Singh. The address of the 301 rank holder is given as Abhaipur village, Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.When contacted, Indu Bhushan Singh whose daughter earlier claimed to have got success in the UPSC exam 2025, said as he was travelling he was not in a position to take the call.Asked for his comment Abhyanand, former DGP, said he was not in a position to give his opinion on the issue.Such false claims needed psychological study of the claimant, said Kusum Kumari, former head of the women studies dept of Magadh university. More than scorn, the Ara girl needs sympathy.
