A devastating incident unfolded on the Buxar-Itarhi road when a reckless truck collided with two women, resulting in their tragic demise near DAV School. The women were riding a motorcycle that was struck from behind while the rider engaged in a phone conversation. Furious bystanders seized the driver, blocking the road in a call for justice.
Buxar: Two women died on the spot after a speeding truck rammed into a motorcycle near DAV School in Lalganj on the Buxar-Itarhi road under Muffasil police station area on Friday evening.According to police, the motorcycle rider, identified as Madan Paswan, had stopped the bike by the roadside and was talking on his cellphone when the truck hit the vehicle from behind.

Anita Devi and Priyanka Devi died on the spot. Their bodies were badly crushed under the truck, triggering panic among passersby and local residents. Both the deceased were residents of Jalvasi village under Itadhi police station area in the district.Angry villagers caught the truck driver after the accident and handed him over to the police. Soon after the incident, locals blocked the Buxar-Itadhi road to protest the accident and demanded strict action against the driver.The motorcycle rider, Madan Paswan, son of Bhagwat Paswan, sustained minor injuries in the accident and was given first aid.Police personnel from Muffasil and Itadhi police stations reached the spot and began efforts to pacify the agitated villagers. Later, Muffasil SHO Shambhu Bhagat calmed the protesters and worked to restore normal traffic movement on the road.
