In a recent announcement, Bihar's Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav confirmed that the long-awaited salary dues for opposition leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav have been successfully processed. He emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that all lawmakers and public servants receive their payments and pensions on time.
Patna: Finance minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav on Friday said the salary dues of leader of opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav have been sent to the treasury office for clearance. He added that there is no issue regarding payment of salaries and pensions to lawmakers or govt employees in the state.“The salaries and pensions of legislators, as well as govt officers and employees for March, have been disbursed smoothly since April 2,” the minister said.He asserted that no department is facing any problem in salary or pension payments and said he had personally taken up Tejashwi’s case with the drawing and disbursing officer (DDO) of the state assembly after reports of a delay surfaced.Citing details provided by the assembly DDO, the minister said the salary slip for Tejashwi’s dues for the period from Nov 16 to Dec 2, 2025, was sent to the treasury office on March 18 for clearance.He added that the salary slip for the period from Dec 2025 to March 2026 was sent to the treasury on Friday. “The treasury office has already cleared it,” he said.
