SSC aspirant alleges rape, knife attack

Patna: A 26-year-old woman preparing for SSC was allegedly attacked with a knife and raped by her boyfriend in Patna late Thursday night. The woman, after getting injured on her neck and hand, reached IGIMS for treatment in a dazed condition, after which police were informed. The accused called her to his rented room on Thursday night. An argument broke out between the duo over marriage. When he tried to force physical relations and she refused, he allegedly raped her at knifepoint and attacked her with the knife when she resisted.

The woman told police she met teh accused of Madhepura in Oct 2025 while both were working at IGIMS. They exchanged numbers, started meeting, and entered a relationship. The accused promised to marry her soon, she said.

A police officer said, “Based on her statement, we raided the rented flat but the accused was missing. He also did not report for duty at IGIMS on Friday. Raids are on to arrest him.”
