Patna: Amid ongoing controversy over vacating the 10, Circular Road Bungalow, where Lalu and Rabri were staying, their party
RJD raised a red flag over the bungalows being occupied by the NDA leaders in Patna, despite being members of Parliament and having official residences in New Delhi.
The RJD wrote a letter to the state building construction department (BCD), seeking an explanation why the NDA leaders were occupying bungalows in Patna allotted to them from the Bihar central pool, and when the department would get them vacated.
In a letter to the BCD secretary, RJD national spokesperson Nawal Kishore Yadav mentioned the bungalows in Patna were allotted to JD(U) leaders Devesh Chandra Thakur while he was the chairperson of the Vidhan Parishad, and Sanjay Kumar Jha when he was the state cabinet minister. He also mentioned about the bungalow in Patna allotted to Jitan Ram Manjhi while he is the Union minister. He said that if the bungalow was given to Manjhi’s daughter-in-law, the department should clarify whether she was entitled to such bungalow.
RJD national spokesperson said Thakur is Member of Parliament from Sitamarhi, while Jha is a Rajya Sabha member, and both have been allotted official residences in New Delhi also.
He alleged that both MPs have used their power and illegally occupied the bungalow. “Are they paying 10 times for these bungalows? Why do they have so much attachment to these bungalows? Is there any treasure hidden?” he questioned.
He asked the BCD to give an explanation in this regard and provide the dates when the bungalows would be vacated, and how much rent would be taken from them for occupying the bungalows.
BCD secretary Kumar Ravi said they will give the reply once they receive the letter and will work as per rules.
