An Iranian security official said Tehran is proceeding in the war according to its own plans and a defined list of targets, warning of “a big surprise” for the US and Israel. In remarks carried by Fars news agency, the official also claimed the US target list was flawed and dismissed Trump’s threats to strike bridges as “laughable,” saying they reflected the failure of American military operations, including the downing of its warplanes.

“We have a big surprise for America and the regime. It only takes a little time,” the official warned. “Their behaviour in southern Iran may also shift the timing of events in our favour.”

The official added, “We have learned well in asymmetric warfare how to wear down the enemy. America has failed in its strategy of clean, quick, and easy attack.”

Kuwait's state media reported that drone attack sparked fire at Shuwaikh oil sector complex. No injuries have been reported.

The Israeli military said it had detected missiles launched from Iran toward Israel.

In a statement, the army said its air defence systems were operating to intercept the incoming threat.

Kuwait’s state media reported that a fire broke out at the Shuwaikh Oil Sector Complex following a drone attack.

There were no injuries, the KUNA news agency said, adding that firefighting and emergency teams were responding to the incident, as cited by Al Jazeera.

Iran’s minister of science, Research and Technology, Hossein Simaei Saraf, spoke to reporters while inspecting the aftermath of an attack on a university research centre in southern Tehran.

A laser and plasma research centre at Shahid Beheshti University was damaged in an air strike on Friday, as cited by Al Jazeera.

Saraf said that parts of at least 30 universities have been affected by US and Israeli strikes since the war began on February 28.

Syria temporarily closed the Masnaa crossing on the Syrian-Lebanese border after the Israeli military issued an evacuation order on Saturday ahead of planned air strikes. Following the IDF warning, the Syrian Authority for Border Crossings and Customs said it would temporarily shut the crossing.

The agency noted that the Masnaa crossing, known as Jdeidet Yabous on the Syrian side, is “designated exclusively for civilian passage.”

“It is not used for any military purposes, there is no presence of any armed groups or militias, and it is not permitted to be used for any activity outside civilian and legal frameworks,” the border authority said, as cited by CNN.

Iranian state media quoted the governor of Kohgiluyeh as saying that a US-Israeli attack on Black Mountain had killed at least three people, as cited by Al Jazeera.

The governor told the Tasnim news agency that two others were wounded, warning that the casualty toll could rise.

The search continued for a second day in a remote part of Iran for a missing US pilot whose warplane was shot down, as cited by Al Jazeera.

Iranian authorities have urged residents to report the “enemy pilot” in exchange for a reward, as Washington faces rising stakes with the conflict now in its sixth week.

The possibility that a US service member may be alive and on the run in Iran comes amid slim prospects for peace talks and opinion polls indicating low public support for the war.

“Many of Iran’s Military Leaders, who have led them poorly and unwisely, are terminated, along with much else, with this massive strike in Tehran!” US President Doanld Trump said through a post on Truth Social.

The Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued a statement urging residents of Kfar Hatta in southern Lebanon to immediately evacuate the area.

In the statement, Adraee instructed residents of the village to move “at least 1,000 metres away,” warning that the Israeli military would soon operate “with force” in the area, as cited by AL Jazeera.

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has written to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, condemning the US-Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, including the latest strike targeting the Bushehr nuclear plant.

In the letter, Araghchi warned that such attacks “expose the entire region to a serious risk of radioactive contamination with serious human and environmental consequences.”

He shared the text of the letter on Telegram, as reported by Al Jazeera.

“The repeated attacks by the aggressors in the vicinity of the active Bushehr nuclear power plant are of great concern,” Araghchi said. “The proximity of these attacks to an active nuclear facility creates an intolerable situation that poses a serious risk of radiological release.”

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for an attack targeting Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport as well as what they described as “vital” military sites in southern Israel.

In a statement carried by the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah media outlet, the group said the attack involved a cluster missile and multiple drones, as cited by Al Jazeera.

A spokesperson for the Iranian military’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned the United States and Israel that any further escalation would trigger a severe backlash across the region.

“Do not forget that if aggression expands, the entire region will turn into a hell for you,” the Iranian spokesperson was quoted as saying by Al Jazeera. “The illusion of defeating the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into a swamp in which you will sink.”

The Israeli military has issued an evacuation warning for the Masnaa border crossing between Lebanon and Syria, according to a statement from its Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee.

In a post on social media, Adraee said the army intends to carry out air strikes on the crossing, alleging that Hezbollah is using it for military purposes and to transfer weapons.

"Due to Hezbollah's use of the Masnaa Crossing for military purposes and smuggling of combat equipment, the IDF intends to carry out strikes on the crossing in the near future," Adraee said through a post on X.

Israel did not provide evidence to support the claim.

The Masnaa crossing has been used by thousands of displaced Lebanese civilians fleeing the war into Syria.

Iranian media reported that at least five people were killed in an attack on the Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone, as cited by Al Jazeera.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had carried out strikes on petrochemical facilities in Iran, describing them as a major source of revenue for the Iranian government.

The Israeli military said its air strikes over the weekend targeted more than 200 Iranian government and Hezbollah sites.

According to the military, the strikes in Iran hit air defence systems, ballistic missile production facilities, and a weapons storage site linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as cited by Al Jazeera.

In Lebanon, the Israeli military said it struck a Hezbollah training facility, additional weapons depots and launch sites, as well as the headquarters of the group’s elite Radwan Force.

Hundreds of Israelis on Saturday rallied in Tel Aviv carrying anti-war banners and chanting slogans against prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to protest the war with Iran.

Demonstrators gathered in a central square, holding signs that read: "Don't bomb — talk! End the endless war!" despite restrictions on mass gatherings imposed during the conflict with Iran.

"Police are trying to silence our voice," Alon-Lee Green, the co-director of Israeli-Palestinian grassroots group Standing Together, told AFP.

"We are here to demand an end to the war in Iran, the war in Lebanon, and the war in Gaza which is still going on, as well as an end to the pogroms in the West Bank.

"In Israel, there's always a war. So, if we're not allowed to demonstrate, we will never be allowed to speak," he added.

Protesters also voiced scepticism about the government's justification for the war with Iran.

"I'm very suspicious of the reasons. I think the main reason is that Bibi wants to stop his trial," said Cecile, 62, who gave only her first name, referring to Netanyahu with his nickname.

Netanyahu is on a trial in a long-running corruption case and has sought a presidential pardon, with US President Donald Trump repeatedly pressuring Israeli President Isaac Herzog to grant one.

"The reasons for the war keep moving and changing all the time. We don't know what will be considered a success or a failure, and we don't know how long it's gonna take," she said.

Protesters held the rally despite restrictions on mass gatherings imposed since the start of the war.

Since midnight, several waves of Iranian missiles have been launched towards Israel, including targets in Tel Aviv and other areas of central Israel.

At least five people were injured after the missile fire, according to Israeli medics.

Since February 28, the United States and Israel have conducted joint strikes against Iran, prompting the Islamic Republic to retaliate with daily missile barrages targeting Israel and several neighbouring countries across the region.

The Israeli military said a soldier had been killed on Saturday in fighting in southern Lebanon, where its forces are engaged in clashes with Iran-backed Hezbollah militants.

"Sergeant First Class Guy Ludar, aged 21, ... fell during combat in southern Lebanon," the military said.

The latest fatality brings the number of Israeli soldiers killed in south Lebanon to 11 since the army began ground operations against Hezbollah last month.

⁠Iran’s ⁠Khatam al-Anbiya joint military command ⁠says Iraq ⁠would be exempt from any restrictions on ‌transit through the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media ⁠reports say.

Several loud explosions were heard over Jerusalem on Saturday after the Israeli military warned it had detected missiles inbound from Iran.

AFP reports of at least six blasts, more than a month into a conflict that was triggered by Israel and the United States striking Tehran.

Earlier in the day five Israelis were wounded in missile attacks on Tel Aviv and parts of central Israel, according to the rescue services.

Russia has issued a harsh condemnation of the US-Israeli strike on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear plant earlier today and called for such attacks on nuclear facilities to end immediately.

“We strongly condemn this evil deed, which resulted in loss of life,” said Russian foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

“Strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, including the Bushehr nuclear power plant, must cease immediately,” she added.

Russia’s state nuclear company Rosatom said it had begun evacuating 198 staff from the Bushehr plant today after the strike.

Hezbollah has claimed it has carried out a series of attacks targeting Israeli army positions and troop gatherings. The group says it has fired rocket barrages at Israeli forces in the town square of Qantara in southern Lebanon and at a gathering of soldiers and vehicles in the settlement of Kfar Yuval.

It also said it shelled Israeli troop positions in the town of Khiam with artillery. In separate statements, Hezbollah said it launched drones targeting the Shragah base, described as the administrative headquarters of the Golani Brigade, north of the city of Acre and Israeli forces near the al-Sammaqa military site in the occupied Kfarchouba hills.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military on the claims.

US federal agents have arrested the niece and grand-niece of late Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani after secretary of state Marco Rubio revoked their lawful permanent resident status, the state department said on Saturday.

"Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter are now in the custody of US immigration and customs enforcement," the state department said in a statement after Rubio revoked their green cards.

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps on Saturday announced a new wave of large-scale strikes targeting US military assets and Israeli-linked sites across Middle East, marking the 95th phase of its ongoing “Operation True Promise 4,” according to Tasnim news agency.

In a statement, the IRGC said the operation was carried out through a “wide-ranging and multi-pronged offensive” involving its Navy and Aerospace Force. The strikes reportedly spanned multiple locations across West Asia and the occupied Palestinian territories, using Haj Qassem, Khaybar-shekan (Khaybar-buster), and Qadr missiles.

Among the targets listed were US HIMARS rocket systems stationed on Bubiyan Island in Kuwait, a US Patriot missile system in northern Bahrain, and locations in the UAE said to host US military personnel, including senior commanders and instructors. The IRGC also claimed it struck a facility belonging to Oracle Corporation in the UAE.

Additionally, the statement said a commercial vessel identified as “MCS Ishika,” allegedly linked to Israel, was hit at Khalifa bin Salman Port in Bahrain by IRGC naval forces.

The IRGC further claimed multiple locations in Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Bnei Brak, Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan and Kiryat Shmona, were targeted with sustained missile strikes.

US president Donald Trump on Saturday issued another ultimatum to Iran warning whether to make a deal in 48-hours or open Strait of Hormuz, else face US unleashing 'hell'.

In a post on Truth Social he said, "Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out - 48 hours before all Hell will reign down on them."

Iran's Khatam ​al-Anbiya joint military command ​on Saturday said it used a ​"new" air defence system on ‌Friday ⁠to ⁠target ​a US fighter ​jet.

A ⁠spokesperson for the ​joint military ​command said the country would "definitely ‌achieve full control" ​over ​its airspace, ⁠according to Iranian state media.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry spokesperson said on Saturday that Islamabad's efforts to broker a ceasefire are “right on track,” Tahir Andrabi told AP after reports suggesting a deadlock in the mediation efforts.

The comments came about a week after Pakistan hosted senior diplomats from Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia and reiterated its readiness to facilitate talks between Washington and Tehran.

Earlier, Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said his government has “never refused to go to Islamabad,” but is seeking a “conclusive and lasting” end to the conflict.

Pakistan’s foreign minister Ishaq Dar welcomed the statement, writing on X: “Truly appreciate your clarification, my dear brother @Araghchi.”

Israel’s military says it has detected another wave of Iranian missiles heading towards the country, the second in less than two hours.

Iran’s science minister has said that more than 30 universities across the country have come under “direct attacks” during the ongoing conflict with the US and Israel.

Hossein Simaei Sarraf, Iran’s minister of science, research and technology, stated that “non-military sites and essential infrastructure for education and research have been targeted,” CNN reported citing ISNA. “Today, millions of school children and university students have been deprived of education and research.”

Damage was also reported at Shahid Beheshti University, a leading institution in Tehran, where buildings were hit in a US-Israeli strike a day earlier, according to the Iranian Red Crescent and local media.

Iranian authorities have described the strikes on academic institutions as an effort to undermine the country’s scientific and cultural base.

Israel, however, has said the strikes are part of a wider campaign aimed at weakening Iran’s nuclear programme, while the United States has maintained that it does not intentionally target civilian sites.

In response, Tehran has warned that it could target universities linked to the US and Israel across the region.

UAE has condemned the attack on its Embassy and residence of its head of mission in Iraqi capital of Damascus.

US-Israeli strikes have hit more than 30 universities across Iran since the war broke out in late February, Iran's science minister said on Saturday.

"To date, more than 30 universities have been directly targeted," Hossein Simai Sarraf told reporters during a visit to the Shahid Beheshti University in northern Tehran, which was struck on Friday.

Iran’s top joint military command said that a new air defence system was used on Friday. The command also said it would “certainly achieve full control” over the country’s skies.

Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi in a post on X said that radioactive fallout from further attacks on the Bushehr nuclear power plant would have disastrous repercussions in regional capitals, not Tehran.

Araghchi slammed Western governments for remaining silent over repeated attacks on the Bushehr plant, contrasting it with the outrage meted out when Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

The plant is located some 750 kilometers south of Iran’ capital.

The facility uses low-enriched uranium from Russia, along with Russian technicians, to supply about 1,000 megawatts of power for Iran.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim that they have targeted an Israel-linked ship in the strait of Hormuz in a drone attack, setting it on fire.

"A drone struck the vessel ... linked to the Zionist regime in the Strait of Hormuz; the ship caught fire," the Guards naval forces posted on X, adding that the ship was called the MSC Ishyka.

The Israeli military on Saturday issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of the coastal city of Tyre in southern Lebanon, ahead of planned strikes on what they called Hezbollah targets.

"Urgent warning to the residents of the city of Tyre... Hezbollah's terrorist activity compels the IDF to operate against it with determination," the military's spokesman Colonel Avichay Adraee said on X.

"For your safety, we call on you to evacuate your homes immediately, according to the area shown on the map, and move north of the Zahrani River," he said, adding that the area extended to the Burj al-Shamali refugee camp.

Gas supplies from Iran to the southern region of Iraq have completely stopped, Al Jazeera reports, citing a statement issued by the Iraqi electricity ministry.

Iran's foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that Tehran never refused to visit Pakistan for mediation talks aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the region.

He went on to say, Iran's main issue is the terms imposed being imposed on country to end the war.

"What we care about are terms of conclusive and lasting end to the illegal war that is imposed on us," Araghchi said.

A joint US-Israeli strike targeted a trade terminal along the Iran-Iraq border on Saturday, leaving one person dead, according to Iranian media reports.

Mehr news agency, citing Khuzestan’s deputy governor Valiollah Hayati, said the airstrike hit the commercial terminal at the Shalamcheh border crossing in Khorramshahr around 11:00 am, blaming “American and Zionist enemies.”

ISNA reported, quoting Hayati, that an Iraqi truck driver was killed in the attack, while two Iranian workers sustained injuries.

Following the incident, Iraq halted both trade and passenger movement through the Shalamcheh crossing, the Iraqi News Agency reported, citing Border Ports Authority chief Omar Al-Waeli.

Iran’s embassy in Austria has unleashed a stinging attack on EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, accusing her of hypocrisy over her stance on the Strait of Hormuz crisis.

The embassy fired back after Kallas told Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi that restoring “toll-free freedom of navigation” in the strait was “an urgent priority,” blaming Iranian attacks on civilian ships for bringing traffic to a near halt.

In two successive posts, the embassy accused Kallas of ignoring “the aggressive attacks by the American-Israeli evil coalition against Iran” while condemning what it said were Tehran’s “purely defensive actions.”

It also challenged her on legal grounds, noting that Kallas had urged Iran to respect the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, a it said treaty Iran is not a party to.

“What kind of advisors surround her? A batch of spineless “yes-men” puppets, no different from the sycophants who surround Trump?” the embassy wrote.

The embassy added that Iran had honoured the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, yet its “peaceful, safeguarded nuclear facilities were still attacked.”

A US-Israeli strike on Saturday hit a cement plant in southern Iran, adding that operations were not interrupted.

"The American-Zionist attack against the cement plant of Bandar Khamir did not leave any casualties," said Tasnim news agency, quoting Ahmad Nafisi, the deputy governor of the southern Hormozgan province.

He added that operations at the plant have "continued as normal".

Bahrain on Saturday said reported at least eight drone attacks in last 24 hours.

Its defense ministry in a post on social media reported the tally.

This brings the total number of projectiles fired at the country since the start of the war to 188 missiles and 453 drones.

International atomic energy agency says Iran has informed it about the projectile hitting Bushshr nuclear facility.

IAEA went on to say, it was informed about the building site being affected by the shockwaves and fragments, and that one of the site's physical protection staff was killed by the projectile fragment
