Railways to run nine more pairs of special trains

Patna: Railways will run nine more pairs of festival special trains on various crowded routes under the East Central Railway (ECR). This arrangement has been made in addition to the 10 pairs of passenger trains already announced earlier by the railways.
According to the ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Patna will run daily from September 21 to November 30, leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin at 11am and reaching Patna the next day at 5am. On its return journey, it will depart from Patna at 7.45am and arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin around 12.45am.
Similarly, the Anand Vihar-Patliputra will run daily from September 21 to November 30, leaving Anand Vihar at 12.05am and reaching Patliputra at 9.30pm, running via Dighwara-Chhapra-Balia-Ghazipur City-Varanasi route. On its return journey, it will depart from Patliputra at 12.30am and arrive at Anand Vihar at 9.30pm.
“The New Delhi-Hasanpur Road will run daily from October 1 to November 30, leaving New Delhi at 9.30am and reaching Hasanpur Road the next day at 12pm. On its return journey, it will leave Hasanpur Road at 3pm and reach New Delhi the next day at 6.30pm,” the CPRO said.
Likewise, the Chandigarh-Patna weekly will run from September 25 to November 28, leaving Chandigarh every Thursday at 11.35pm and reaching Patna the next day at 9pm. On its return journey, it will leave Patna every Friday at 11pm and reach Chandigarh the next day at 11.10pm.
“The New Delhi-Howrah will run daily from September 20 to December 12, leaving New Delhi at 6.15pm and reaching Howrah the next day at 9.30pm, while on its return journey, it will leave Howrah at 11.50pm and reach New Delhi the second day at 4.10am via Asansol-Dhanbad-Koderma-Gaya-DDU-Varanasi-Prayagraj route, he said, adding that the Ajmer-Ranchi, Mau-Kolkata, Durg-Patna and Gondia-Patna are other special trains put into operation to clear the rush.
