PM to flag off Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express on Sept 15

A new Vande Bharat Express will soon connect Jogbani and Danapur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the train via video conferencing. The inaugural run is scheduled from Forbesganj to Danapur. Regular service starts on September 17. The train will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays. This is the seventh Vande Bharat train managed by the Danapur division.

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off Jogbani-Danapur Vande Bharat Express (26301/26302) via video conferencing from Purnia on Monday. In the inaugural run, the train will start from Forbesganj at 3.30pm and reach Danapur at 11.40pm the same day.However, the regular service of the semi-high-speed train will begin from Sept 17.The train will depart from Danapur at 5.10pm and reach Jogbani at 1.20 am. On its return journey, it will depart from Jogbani at 3.25am reaching Danapur the same day at 11.30am, ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said, adding the premier train will cover a distance of 453 km in 8 hours 10 minutes with stoppages at Araria Court, Purnia Junction, Banmankhi, Dauram Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Salauna, Hasanpur Road, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur and Hajipur.The new Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week excluding Tuesdays, and is currently configured with eight coaches.This will be the seventh Vande Bharat train managed by the Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR), Danapur ADRM Aadhar Raj said, adding Patna Junction has become the only station in the country from where semi-high-speed premier trains like Vande Bharat , Amrit Bharat and Namo Bharat Rapid Rail are originating and reaching different destinations.
Vande Bharat Express trains are already running on the Patna-Ranchi, Patna-Howrah, Patna-Lucknow, Patna-New Jalpaiguri, Patna-Tatanagar and Patliputra-Gorakhpur routes while Amrit Bharat Express is running on Rajendra Nagar Terminal-New Delhi and Namo Bharat Rapid Rail on the Patna-Jayanagar routes, sources said.
