Madhubani: Bihar labour resources, migrant workers welfare and skill development minister Arun Shankar Prasad on Sunday alleged that the liquor mafia attacked him in Thahar village under the Khajauli police station area of Madhubani district.Following the incident, the minister, accompanied by his supporters, reached Kaluaahi police station. Senior police officers, including SDPO Kamini Kaushal, SP Yogendra Kumar and DIG Manoj Kumar Tiwari, later arrived at the police station and met him.According to sources, Arun told the senior officers that the attack had been orchestrated by the liquor mafia. The police assured him that all those involved would be arrested soon and that efforts would be made to ensure a speedy trial and strict punishment for the accused.The alleged attack triggered a quick response from the district police with senior officers reviewing the situation and taking stock of the minister’s allegations.However, when approached by reporters, Arun played down the incident.“Nothing happened to me,” Arun said.After meeting the police, the minister left Kaluaahi police station for Patna.Police have not yet released detailed information regarding the incident, and further investigation is underway.
