84 more seats up for grabs at IIT-Patna this year; ‘open house’ on June 16
IIT-P information officer Kripa Shankar Singh said, “This enriching event will offer the aspiring engineers a unique platform to explore the vast opportunities and world-class facilities that await them at IIT Patna.”
A panel comprising IIT-P director, deans, associate deans, faculties, alumni, and members of the student-gymkhana will be present to provide participants with a virtual tour of the campus and address their queries and concerns. The open house will offer comprehensive information about scholarships, admission procedures, career prospects, and industry collaborations, enabling students to make informed decisions about their future.
They will also gain insight into the infrastructure, hostel arrangements, and other aspects of student life on campus, he added.
The JEE (Advanced) results were announced on June 9, and the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) began accepting online applications for the counselling process on June 10.

4,811 students from IIT Bhubaneswar zone qualified in JEE Advanced, with Matcha Balaaditya ranking 11th nationally. Top ranker Ved Lahoti scored 355/360 marks, while Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel topped among females with 332/360 marks.

IIT-Madras has initiated Sports Excellence Admission (SEA) with two supernumerary seats, one reserved for female students in all UG programmes, encouraging JEE (Advanced) qualifiers with sports achievements to apply through a separate portal.
