A young man from Supaul district was brutally stabbed and seriously injured in Patna City's Alamganj area early Sunday morning after he resisted a robbery attempt. Four assailants attacked Kunal Kumar near Gandhi Setu, stealing his cellphone and cash before fleeing. He is currently receiving treatment at NMCH-Patna, with police actively searching for the perpetrators.
Patna: Four criminals stabbed a youth who resisted their efforts to snatch his belongings, leaving him seriously injured in Patna City’s Alamganj police station area early Sunday morning.The incident took place around 4.30am near pillar number 16 of Gandhi Setu. The youth, identified as Kunal Kumar, a resident of Supaul district who came to Patna for work, was passing by the location when the assailants surrounded him. They initially pushed him and tried to grab his cellphone and snatch money.

When Kunal resisted their loot bid, the criminals attacked him with a knife, inflicting severe wounds after which he collapsed. The robbers snatched his cellphone and cash.Local residents and passers-by alerted the police and promptly shifted the youth to NMCH-Patna, where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is said to be serious.Upon receiving information, officers from Alamganj police station reached the spot and launched an investigation. Police are scrutinising footage of nearby CCTVs to identify the criminals.
Alamganj police station in charge Rahul Kumar Thakur said, “Raids are underway to identify and arrest the criminals. The injured was taken to the hospital. He sustained wounds in his leg and thigh.”This is the second stabbing incident in Alamganj police station area in the last two days.
