Extend support to Bihar bandh: CPI (ML)

PATNA: Launching a scathing attack on four-year-old Nitish Kumar government, CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya on Friday appealed to the people to make the party's proposed Bihar bandh on November 24 a success.
He said the state government has completely failed to implement the recommendations of Land Reforms Commission and Uniform Education Commission and check rampant corruption in development-related projects in the state.

Talking to mediapersons here, Bhattacharya urged the poor peasantry, farmers, labourers and students to lend their whole-hearted support for the success of the bandh, which he described as final battle against feudal elements, who are dead opposed to implementation of recommendations of Land Reform Commission in the state.
The ML general secretary said that Bihar is going down and it has reached the lowest position in the list of 20 big states of the country. Bhattacharya held Nitish Kumar government responsible for it.
He announced that the ML would contest 34 seats in Jharkhand in the coming assembly elections. He said that though the party has some understanding with the CPI, the relation has come to an end after the CPI decided to join hands with the RJD.
He also demanded a probe into the swindling of Rs 4,000 crore in Jharkhand allegedly by former CM Madhu Koda and his associates by a Supreme Court judge. Bhattacharya also released a book `D Bandhopadhyay Bhoomi Ayog Ki Sifarishen Wa Nitish Sarkar' published by the ML.
