Mayor steps in to resolve water, road woes in Cidco
Nashik: City mayor Himgauri Aher on Thursday directed civic officials to urgently repair roads and resolve water-supply issues in Ward No. 31, Cidco division, during her ‘Visit to Ward' initiative. This was her second ward visit, after inspecting Mhasrul in Panchavati last week.Accompanied by deputy mayor Vilas Shinde and corporators Bhagwan Donde, Balkrishna Shirsath, and Madhuri Demse, Aher personally heard residents' complaints and issued on-the-spot instructions, prompting immediate action in several areas.The team inspected Dnyaneshwar Nagar, MHADA Colony, Swarajya Nagar, Poddar School area, the sewage project zone, Gaulane Road, Pathardi, Dadhegaon, and Pimpalgaon Khamb, reviewing deteriorated roads, water scarcity, and the lack of basic facilities. Emphasizing urgent repairs in the Poddar School area, she assured residents that "the work would be prioritised."Aher also instructed the water supply department to fix the overhead tank in Dnyaneshwar Nagar and prepare a plan to tackle shortages in the Pathardi–Gaulane belt. On contaminated water discharge from the NMC compost plant at Pathardi, she said "the polluted water would be diverted to the Pimpalgaon Khamb water treatment plant" and directed officials to expedite the work.Her visit also advanced key proposals, including a new bridge across the Waldevi river between Dadhegaon and Pathardi and an alternative water-supply plan for Pimpalgaon Khamb, Chinchwadi, and Jadhavwadi.END
