1 dies as vehicle overturns due to rain and low visibility
Shivamogga: A tragic road accident took place near Konanduru in Thirthahalli taluk on Saturday after heavy rain and low visibility caused a mid-sized commercial vehicle carrying around 30 passengers to lose control and overturn on Hullatti Road. A 5-year-old boy, identified as Mohammed Shaqeeb, died on the spot due to the impact of the crash, while another passenger sustained critical injuries and over 25 others suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Following the accident, the injured were rushed to Konanduru hospital for primary treatment, while those requiring advanced care were later shifted to Thirthahalli Taluk Hospital and the district hospital.
A case has been registered at Thirthahalli police station.
