Mandakini’s husband denies D-links

Speaking to from Amravati , Dr Thakur said:���I have no such links. In fact, it was AC mechanics Nabil Shaikh and SadikUsman who threatened to close down my herbal clinic on Yari Road. If I hadconnections with the underworld I wouldn���t have reported the matter to thepolice.������ When asked how heknew the two men, Dr Thakur said: ���They had taken my air-conditioner forrepair, but did not return it even after I paid them the money.������It maybe recalled that Shaikh and Usman had claimed in theircomplaint to the police that Dr Thakur had allegedly told them that his wife hadconnections with the D-company and he would get them killed if they asked formore money. The duo had demanded Rs 5,500 for repairing DrThakur���s AC, but the latter had allegedly paid only Rs 3,300.Dr Thakur dismissed the allegations and said: ���It���s allcrap. I���ve been living in this city for more than a decade and people knowwhat kind of a person I am. This news of me being linked with the underworld hascome as a shock to me. Right now I am busy teaching Buddhism to the people ofAmravati.������
