Mumbai: The state govt will provide land free of cost to set up Kendriya Vidyalayas in the state. It will be assigned under the occupancy class 2 category. The cabinet gave an in-principle approval to the proposal on Wednesday. It also sanctioned five acres for a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Ratnagiri. State Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said the decision will expedite the process of giving land in districts where proposals have already been sanctioned for setting up of such schools.
