Mumbai: The by-election to the Rajya Sabha seat that fell vacant following the resignation of deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar will be held on June 18. Food and civil minister Chhagan Bhujbal is among the names being considered.Sunetra Pawar resigned from the Rajya Sabha on May 6, after being elected to the state assembly in the by-election to the Baramati seat that fell vacant after the death of her husband, Ajit Pawar.The last day for filing nominations is June 8. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on June 9. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is June 11, and if necessary, polling will be held on June 18, and the counting of votes will take place on the same day.
