BJP and RSS have made a business of asking for donation for Ram temple, alleges Congress leader Sachin Sawant
The Congress party on Tuesday launched an attack on the BJP over the allegations of corruption in the land purchased by the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust in Ayodhya.
The remark comes after Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut demanded that the trust formed for the construction of the temple should clarify and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat should also speak.
Now, senior Congress leader and spokesperson Sachin Sawant has alleged that the BJP and RSS have made a business of asking for donations for Ram temple.
"It has become a business for the BJP and RSS in the name of Ram temple. They had collected money earlier also and have not given any account of it."
The Congress leader also retweeted a video from January 30, where he had said that Ram Mandir Teerth Kshetra Trust had a complaint about it and in several places, complaints have been lodged and people were also nabbed.
"We want to appeal to the people, if you are giving a donation through the BJP or RSS, it may go to a party fund or at someone's home. Please be aware that the donation you give with faith should go for the development of Ram mandir and trust."
Earlier, reacting to Raut's remark that even Shiv Sena had contributed Rs one crore to the Trust, BJP MLA Atul Bhatkhalkar said that Sena should ask them to return the Rs 1 crore.
AAP's Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh has alleged that the land worth Rs 2 crore was bought at an inflated price of Rs 18.5 crore by Shriram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai. Rai has termed the charges as misleading.

That Champat Rai has been defending that the agreement for 2 Crs was done in 2017. If that be so it is common sense that it will be reflected in that registered agreement as all payments made to the seller are always stated in any agreement. Just show that agreement and chapter gets closed !Read allPost comment
