Revenue officer, ITI student among 3 killed in as car rams pole after midnight birthday party
Bareilly: Three men were killed and another seriously injured in a car accident near the ARTO intersection in the Civil Lines area of Budaun city around 1am on Tuesday. Police said four friends were returning home after a birthday celebration when their car, reportedly speeding at the time, lost control and crashed into a pole.Harshit Saxena, 35, a revenue dept official, Rubal Patel, 26, an ITI student, and Harshit Gupta, 29, a student, died on the spot. Passersby alerted police, who reached the spot, pulled injured Ankit Karandhar from the wreckage, and took him to a govt medical college hospital in Bareilly where he is currently undergoing treatment.Civil Lines SHO Manoj Kumar said, "The families of the victims have been informed, and we have not received a formal complaint yet. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the reports are awaited. We are investigating the circumstances of the accident to help prevent such incidents in the future."
