24yo man dies, 3 critical after consuming liquor in Bijnor

Bijnor: A 24-year-old man died and three of his friends are in critical condition after consuming liquor and chicken in Najibabad area of Bijnor district on Thursday.Mohd Naushad and his friends Mohd Afsar, Mohd Kamran and Chandra Prakash (all in their 20s) had gathered on the top floor of a two-storey building owned by Kamran, who runs an electrical supplies shop there. After consuming liquor, Naushad's health deteriorated and the three rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Soon after, the others also complained of illness and were admitted for treatment.Bijnor SP Abhishek Jha, SDM Shailendra Kumar Singh, CO Nitesh Pratap Singh and other officials reached the place to examine whether the alcohol was adulterated or if any poisonous substance was mixed with the food.SP Jha said, "A bottle of whisky, two bottles of beer and food items were recovered and samples were sent for forensic examination. The body was sent for postmortem."
