Implement order on CAS: Univ teachers

Madurai: The Madurai Kamaraj, Manonmaniam Sundaranar, Mother Teresa and Alagappa University Teacher’s Association (MUTA), has demanded that the government order for career advancement scheme (CAS) for university and college teachers be implemented immediately.
Speaking to reporters, M Nagarajan, general secretary MUTA, said that the government had released GO M.S.No 5 dated January 11, 2021 pertaining to CAS for university and college teachers, after a long struggle by the university faculty.Subsequently, the director of collegiate education has issued the proceedings for the implementation of GO MS No 5, on May 4, 2021, without the January 11, 2021, GO.
However, CAS was implemented in toto in all the state universities, government and aided polytechnic colleges and government and aided engineering colleges. tnn
