Ludhiana: A parking dispute on Mayapuri Road escalated into a violent clash on Saturday night, leaving at least four people injured after rival groups pelted each other with bricks and stones.
The confrontation began when resident Mukhtiar Singh asked the driver of a Mahindra Bolero blocking the street to move. The driver refused, sparking an argument before summoning armed associates to the scene.
Mukhtiar Singh’s family arrived to assist but was attacked with wooden clubs, with victims alleging the assailants targeted women and discharged a firearm. Neighbours retaliated by throwing stones.
Tibba Police sub-inspector Balbir Singh confirmed a major brawl had occurred but stated the shooting remained unverified. Investigators are tracing the suspects to file formal charges.
