Class X PSEB results out; girls sweep city top spots
Ludhiana: Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared Class X results on Monday, underlining yet another impressive performance by city girls.
Three girls from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School secured the top three positions in the city.
The three toppers — Ridhima Bose, Sachi Rai and Taranpreet Kaur — come from varied family backgrounds. They attributed their success to disciplined and consistency in study routines as well as family support. They also expressed the hope that their success would inspire and guide others.
‘Concentration is key’
Ridhima Bose emerged as the city topper with 98.9%, securing state rank 3 with 643 marks out of 650. With an inclination for mathematics and science, she has opted for the non-medical stream in Class XI. Her father works as a supervisor in a private firm, while her mother is a homemaker. Ridhima said she remained focused and ensured that she studied with full concentration. She aims to clear the IIT-JEE examination and pursue engineering.
Her mother, Poonam, said she was still trying to let it sink in. “It feels unbelievable. She has achieved this through her own hard work, discipline and self-awareness,” she said.
‘Nothing replaces hard work’
Sachi Rai secured the second position in the city with 98.7%, securing state rank 4 with 642 marks. She has also chosen the non-medical stream for Class XI and aspires to crack the UPSC examination. Her father, Vikas Rai, is an advocate, while her mother is a homemaker.
Sachi said she relied on hard work and regularity, dedicating four to five hours to studies at a stretch. Balancing late-night and early-morning study sessions played a key role in her preparation. “The family is feeling extremely proud and happy,” her father said.
‘Understanding is important’
Taranpreet Kaur finished third in the city with 98.4%, securing state rank 5 with 640 marks. She has opted for the commerce stream for Class XI and aims to become a chartered accountant. Her father is a carpenter and her mother is a homemaker.
Taranpreet said she focused on developing a thorough understanding of concepts and credited her parents as well as school teachers for support. To manage stress she would play badminton, go for walks and discuss her concerns with her parents.
School authorities congratulated the students on their performance, noting that dedication, time management and conceptual clarity played a significant role in the success of the toppers.
