Public outreach programme held
Lucknow: Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh’s public outreach campaign, ‘Aapka Vidhayak Aapke Dwar’, continued to gain momentum in his constituency, with residents raising civic and welfare-related issues during the 167th edition of the programme held in the Malak area of Neelmatha on Sunday.
Officials said a total of 26 complaints and applications related to police matters, roads, drainage, housing schemes, anganwadi centres, streetlights, waterlogging, Ayushman cards, school beautification and public utilities were received during the programme. Of these, three grievances were resolved on the spot, including the preparation of Ayushman Bharat cards for senior citizens aged above 70 years.
Acting on the MLA’s directions, the officials concerned were instructed to ensure the speedy disposal of the remaining complaints.
A health camp organised with the support of TS Misra Medical College and Hospital examined 55 residents for diabetes, blood pressure and eye-related ailments, while 20 people were identified as requiring spectacles.
In another initiative aimed at youth engagement, the 181st Boys Youth Club was formed under Singh’s guidance. Meritorious students were also honoured with bicycles in recognition of their academic excellence.
