Deceased's wife Santoshi said that the money was used to construct the brother-duo's paternal house in Mahmudabad.
At around 11pm on Friday, Guruprasad demanded the amount saying he needed it for some urgent work. Jaykaran promised to return the money after a few months. The duo exchanged heated words and in a fit of rage Guruprasad picked up a bamboo stick lying opposite his shanty and began hitting Jaykaran.
"He doled out multiple blows on deceased's head and forehead," said sub-inspector Brijlal Verma from Chinhat police station. Jaykaran was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where he was declared brought dead by doctors.
