Lucknow: A play titled ‘Kaumudi,' organised as part of Repertwahr Weekends by Repertwahr Foundation, was staged at Sant Gadgeji Auditorium at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Sunday.
The plot revolved around an aged artist, Satyasheel, who gained popularity for his portrayal of Eklavya from the Mahabharat. Due to failing eyesight, it is Satyasheel's last show. After his exit, a young actor, Paritosh, famous for playing the role of Abhimanyu, comes from a theatre group in Benaras to play Eklavya.
During rehearsals, Satyasheel and Paritosh are cordial with each other and it is revealed that they are father and son, separated long ago in an unfortunate incident. The characters in the play were portrayed by Kumud Mishra, Sandeep Shikhar, Gopal Dutt, and Shubhrajyoti Bharat.
