Lucknow: Conveying its gratitude towards the UP govt for appointing Gram Pradhan as administrators until the next
Panchayat elections, the National Panchayati Raj Gram Pradhan Association on Wednesday pledged to give a “return gift” to the
Yogi Adityanath govt in the next UP Assembly elections due early next year.
Association president, Akhilesh Singh, said that the organisation intends to highlight how the Uttar Pradesh govt has created history by appointing village heads as administrators until the upcoming elections, thereby significantly enhancing their credibility.
Furthermore, this move has paved the way for the uninterrupted continuity of development works within the villages.
Singh said that CM Yogi fulfilled the promise he made to the village heads on Dec 15, 2021, during the “Gram Utkarsh Samaroh” (Village Upliftment Ceremony) regarding the operation of a “triple-engine govt.”
Singh said that the organisation will express its gratitude to the govt by organising ceremonies at the state, divisional, district and block levels, and will continue to engage in dialogue to resolve the difficulties faced by the Panchayats.
