Flyer’s mid-air puffs land him in handcuffs

Lucknow: A 43-year-old flyer's love for mid-air puffs saw him leaving the airport in handcuffs. Mohammad Nasir was travelling from Dammam to Lucknow in IndiGo flight 6E-98 on Wednesday morning when he decided to go for a smoke in the plane's bathroom.Smoking on a plane is strictly forbidden and super risky. Nasir, a labourer from Old Lucknow, must have surely known that but decided to burn the rules. As the smoke filled the bathroom, the alert cabin crew smelled the rat and caught hold of him. When the flight touched down at Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Nasir's plan of turning the lavatory into ‘hookah bar' went up in smoke, literally. The airline crew and airport authorities handed him over to the Sarojininagar Police. He was booked under Section 34 of the Police Act. He will be produced before a judicial magistrate who slapped a hefty fine on him for the mid-air misadventure.
