Police said the string, suspected to be sharp, possibly glass-coated manjha, caused a severe cut-like wound on his throat, triggering heavy bleeding. He was taken for medical treatment and is currently reported to be stable. The complaint was filed by Hussainganj police outpost in-charge Gaurav Singh. Sub-inspector Shivam Verma was assigned to investigate the case. Authorities were also examining whether banned synthetic or Chinese manjha was used.
