Dr Mishra assumes charge as UPASI prez

Dr Anand Mishra, HOD, endocrine surgery department of KGMU, assumed charge as president of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (UPASI), succeeding Dr Nikhil Singh for a one-year term at the 50th UPASICON held in Kanpur. Dr Mishra has earlier served two terms in the executive committee of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and is vice-pre- sident of the Indian Associa- tion of Endocrine Surgeons. Colleagues describe him as a clinician-leader committed to surgical education, ethical practice, and healthcare system improvement.
