The BJP secured seven of the 12 seats in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) bypolls on Tuesday, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won three. Congress and the Left picked up one seat each.
Elections were held on November 30 in 12 wards, nine of which were previously held by the BJP and the remaining three by AAP. Voter turnout stood at 38.51%, significantly lower than the 50.47% recorded in the 2022 MCD polls for 250 wards.
According to the State Election Commission, counting was conducted across 10 centres—Kanjhawala, Pitampura, Bharat Nagar, Civil Lines, Rouse Avenue, Dwarka, Najafgarh, Gole Market, Pushp Vihar and Mandawali.
