BJP biggest ‘adharmi’ party that ever existed: Akhilesh
Lucknow: Citing recent instances of rape-accused former city president of Hindu Yuva Vahini being accorded a grand welcome at Dasna jail gates following his release on bail and assault of a lawyer carrying a copy of Ramcharitmanas in Lucknow, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said BJP was the biggest ‘adharmi’ (unrighteous) party that ever existed.
Posting a video of how former city president of Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV) Sushil Prajapati – arrested for the rape of an LLB student in Ghaziabad – was accorded a grand welcome, Akhilesh said the visuals depicted the real character of the BJP and its subsidiary vahinis and parishads.
“Nothing can be more condemnable than the manner in which the rape accused office bearer of a vahini that the chief minister had recently praised, was welcomed with flowers and the pomp and show with which his release from jail on bail was celebrated,” Akhilesh wrote.
He added that it seemed that the ‘mannaiya’ (honourable) was getting his real supporters out to contest the (assembly) elections in a free and fair manner.
“Tomorrow this rape accused, who is out on bail, will be seen raising slogans in support of women reservation. This is the fundamental character of the BJP and its subsidiary vahinis and parishads. Highly condemnable,” Akhilesh wrote.
Later in the day while speaking at an event organised by Hindi daily, Akhilesh recalled how a lawyer, who was carrying Ramcharitmanas with him was assaulted by the police during the recent protest in Lucknow.
Akhilesh said after the photograph of the lawyer went viral on social media, the chief minister presented a copy of Ramcharitmanas when he visited his deputy’s home the next day.
“This is how the BJP operates. It is the most adharmi party,” he said.
‘BHU question paper row devised by BJP’
Lucknow: Akhilesh Yadav said the row over a question paper that appeared in the MA examination at BHU was all devised by the BJP and the controversy was deliberately created.
“Imagine such a question being asked in an examination paper at an institute like BHU that was founded by renowned Indian scholar and educational reformer Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. It is a well thought of conspiracy of the BJP to first blame people and then make them react to controversies,” Akhilesh said.
