4 students suspended for clash on university campus

LUCKNOW: Lucknow University on Monday suspended four students in connection with the group clash which took place on September 8 on the varsity’s second campus. The four, Vaibhav Singh Pallav (BBA-IB), Sadaf Hanif (BCom III), Abhishek Madeshiya (BCom III) and Nishant Singh (MBA), remain suspended and their entry to the campus has been banned. The orders were issued by the proctor on recommendations of a committee which found the students guilty of vitiating the academic atmosphere of the campus.On September 8, two groups of students had clashed over organizing the freshers party. The first group with 22 students led by Madeshiya and second led by Nishant Singh and Vaibhav Singh with nine others, gathered at the Institute of Management Sciences building. Abhishek did not want to include Vaibhav and the group in the party to be organized later this week. The groups had then abused and assaulted each other with canes.
