360th Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh celebrated
Lucknow: The 360th Prakash Parv (birth anniversary) of tenth Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated with devotion at Alambagh Gurdwara on Sunday.The programme began with Asa Di Vaar kirtan by priest Satbir Singh. Students of Dasmesh Public School and KKNS Gurmat Academy, along with the Stree Satsang Sabha, sang kirtans, while priest Veer Brijendra Pal from Ludhiana shed light on the life of Guru Gobind Singh. He said, "Guru Gobind Singh struggled a lot to establish the Sikh panth, fought battles with Mughals and taught to serve humanity and remain disciplined in life."

A medical camp was organised in which around 200 people consulted doctors and received free medicines.A book fair consisting of books on Sikh history and teachings of Sikh gurus was inaugurated. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak paid obeisance at the gurdwara, took blessings and said, "Along with Sikh faith Guru Gobind Singh also saved Hindu religion and fought many battles."RSS pracharak for the Awadh region, Kaushal Kishore, also visited and offered prayers. The Sardar Kapoor Singh Seva Award was presented to Sardar Jaspreet Singh for selfless service. In the end, devotees were served with langar.
