Security agencies reported multiple sightings of suspected drones along the International Border and the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening, raising fresh security concerns. Officials said the drones were observed in forward areas of Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts and appeared to have entered from the Pakistan side before retreating after brief hovering. In the Nowshera sector of Rajouri, Army personnel opened fire after detecting drone movement over Gania-Kalsian village. Similar drone-like objects with blinking lights were spotted in Khabbar village, Chak Babral in Samba, and the Mankote sector of Poonch. Ground search operations were immediately launched. The incidents come shortly after security forces recovered arms and ammunition allegedly dropped by a Pakistan-based drone in Samba district.
