KOLKATA: A complaint has been lodged against former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee at the Cyber Thana in Siliguri by a lawyer over her alleged statement related to Sanatana Dharma, officials said on Tuesday.According to news agency ANI, the complaint was filed by lawyer Rinki Chatterjee Singh, who has accused Banerjee of making remarks that allegedly hurt religious sentiments.According to officials, the complaint seeks legal action under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including criminal intimidation, defamation, and hurting religious sentiments.The matter has been taken on record by the Cyber Thana, and preliminary procedures are underway.(With agency inputs)
