3 workers injured as lift snaps during maintenance at Kolkata airport
KOLKATA: At least three workers were injured after a lift under maintenance snapped and fell at Kolkata airport on Tuesday, officials said. The incident occurred while maintenance work was being carried out on Lift 34 at the airport. Kolkata Airport Director Vikram Singh said, “During the maintenance work, the lift snapped and fell. Three workers sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital.”
