Mandape appointed head of Dabholkar’s anti-superstition organisation
Kolhapur: Former educator and anti-superstition activist for 40 years, Pramodini Sukumar Mandape, has been appointed state unit chief of Maharashtra Andhshraddha Nirmoolan Samiti (MANS) — founded by slain rationalist Narendra Dabholkar.A state executive council meeting of the forum was held in Satara where the selection of Mandape was announced unanimously.Mandape was principal at Rayat Shikshan Sanstha's College of Education. She has written numerous books on superstitions in the society. She worked alongside Dabholkar for decades.Saroj Patil, also an educator, is the outgoing head of MANS. Patil was chosen as ‘margadarshak' (guide) unanimously by the executive council.
