Two youths attack KSRTC bus crew in road rage incident

Kochi: In an incident of road rage, Aluva police registered a case after a KSRTC bus crew was attacked by two youths on a two-wheeler on Friday.The accused allegedly hurled a helmet at the bus driver and assaulted the bus conductor. The bus crew sustained injuries and sought treatment at a hospital in Aluva. The alleged incident occurred at Kuttamassery when the bus crew was conducting service between Aluva and Adoor on Thursday afternoon. Police said the youths were upset over the bus blocking their way while overtaking another car. They chased the bus and blocked it before attacking the staff. Police said the bus driver was identified as Shyamkumar of Kayamkulam and the bus conductor as Praveen of Sasthamkotta. The passengers of the bus later left in other vehicles. Police said efforts are on to track down the accused.
